The SSM Education Department organized a studio workshop for a team of doctors, biologists and pharmacists from Bristol Myers Squibb. At a break from the meeting held by the group at the Seed, after visiting the exhibition “Voyage to the West – the 70 year Adventure of Turkish Painting (1860 - 1930)" and a guided tour of the museum, they played at being painters in the shaded gardens of the SSM in full view of the Bosphorus. The participants, who admitted that they hadn’t taken paintbrush in hand since their middle school years, enjoyed an open-air painting workshop, taking as examples the still-life paintings of Süleyman Seyyid and the landscapes of Hoca Ali Rıza.
