SSM offers education opportunities for people with special needs. All of our museum garden and gallery venues have been designed to offer comfortable access and movement to the handicapped, and the museum has staff to provide every type of support and assistance to people with special needs.
Groups with special needs are able to participate in workshop artistic activities after a guided museum and exhibition tour. We continue to offer entrance and activity participation to handicapped visitors free of charge.
On December 3rd Disabilities Day We Held the Second Annual 'I turned Shadow into Daylight' Event
The Disabilities Day that we launched last year was held on the same day this year at The Seed hall of the Sakıp Sabancı Museum. The event was attended by 165 disabled friends from various institutions and schools. Featuring musical and theatre performances, our event also included a concert by the pianist and composer Tuluğ Tırpan, violinist Cihat Aşkın and his friends and an interactive event by the actors of the Zorlu Children’s Theater. Throughout the event, the drawing boards and paints found at the foyer area provided the children with the opportunity to express themselves through painting. The event was concluded with refreshments on the terrace and lively attendance of the children in beautiful weather, and gifts from the Günışığı (Daylight) Library and Adel Pens.
