Genealogy of World Dynasties

Joining the collection along with the Endowment Deed, the 16th century Genealogy of World Dynasties contains the genealogies of all prophets from Adam to Mohammad, and all Islamic dynasties, until Sultan Murad III. Important events of the period are recorded around the names written in gold gilt framed medallions. The introduction states that this work, significant both artistically and historically, was prepared upon the commission of Sultan Selim II.
